About Iris
Born in Portugal and now based in London, Iris is an artist shaped by contrast — softness and aggression, vulnerability and control, melancholy and rage.
Some key influences include: Paramore, Porcupine Tree, Spiritbox, Radiohead, Sleep Token and many other contrasting acts.
Her debut single, What If I Never Happened, marks a turning point. An alternative metal track lending haunting introspection with heavy rock and metal guitars, the track explores the quiet devastation of feeling invisible, alongside the anger that comes from realising how often we erase ourselves to survive. It’s a song that lives in the tension between sadness and rage — fragile one moment, confrontational the next.
Co-written and produced with guitarist Francisco Parada, the track introduces Iris’ artistic identity: emotionally unfiltered, dynamically bold, and unafraid to sit with discomfort. Her vocal performance moves seamlessly between restraint and release, reflecting an artist who understands both control and chaos.
What If I Never Happened is not just a debut, but an arrival: the first chapter of an artist finally allowing herself to be heard.
Iris is a touring musician, performing with projects such as The Rock Orchestra, with whom she has toured internationally as a session singer, and Choir Noir, with whom she has played venues and festivals including Wembley Arena and Download Festival.
